I had a dream come true last week. My friend Rebecca came to visit me all the way from Germany! There are the so many things we did in the week she visited, that I have so much to share, but first up, is the story about us making homemade marshmallows.
While I was working one day (yes, I am back to work), Rebecca mentioned that maybe, when I was done working, we could try making marshmallows. She said she has always wanted to make homemade marshmallows.
I was so excited as the thought of making Marshmallows had never popped in mind. The funny thing is that it seemed like an activity that the kids would enjoy, but the three adults (hubby, Rebeccca, and I) made them while the kids were at their sports activities.
The process can be a little time consuming, but only because you have to let the mixture ‘settle’. Cutting up the fresh mallow does require plenty of confectioners on hand so you can get the knife through the mallow, but let. me. tell. you. this – it is WORTH it!
You will not want to ever eat marshmallows from a bag again, but you will want to make S’mores right away.
