I have shared that I have finally began playing with my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, and have already learned more about how I like to use it most. I have learned that I, so far, I have not been impressed with using it for soups, unless maybe one containing dried beans, as the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker would surely make that a much faster process.
Seeing as I am an Instant Pot beginner, I asked some of my favorite food bloggers to share their favorite Instant Pot for beginners recipes. I am sharing the recipes that I think would be made efficiently in the Instant Pot, or simply ones I found deliciously interesting.
First up, are a few chicken recipes. I enjoyed using the Instant Pot to make a roast chicken so much, that I think the Lemon-Garlic thighs, and Maple Mustard Chicken would be big hits.
Speaking of chicken, making a chicken stock in the Instant Pot would be fantastic because one thing I have found as a great feature of using a pressure cooker, is that it seems to force flavors into the food. Therefore, I can imagine what a rich, flavorful stock that would result.
Also, everyone needs a great chicken party dip, so I present Buffalo Chicken Dip/Salad.
My daughter loves refried beans, and would much prefer to make them than use the canned options, therefore, I will be trying this recipe next week.
The other area that I feel the pressure cooker beats the slow cooker, is when it comes to cooking larger pieces of meat much faster.
So, I am sharing some recipes from french dip sandwiches, beef roast sandwiches to pork tacos.
Now, we can’t forget breakfast items either. Here I would think the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker could knock the socks off of oatmeal. Specifically, apple cinnamon oatmeal.
Finally, we need some side dishes and a dessert to make this a well-rounded round-up. I normally speed up the baked potato process by using the microwave, but this looks like a great method to try for baked potatoes.
And how about a Cauliflower Chickpea Curry folks? I say ‘Yum’!
I want to end this note on a gorgeous sugary note, so I present Vanilla Bean Instant Pot Cheesecake. Yes, you read that correctly!
So grab your friends, and have an Instant Pot Supper Party!
