Those of you who have been around here a while, know that I appreciate, and strive for, using real, quality, non-GMO, organic ingredients when possible.
This holds true whether I am making a dish from scratch or if I am grabbing a snack for the family. When I am shopping for prepared snacks, I search in the organic and natural foods aisle at the grocery store.
Recently I spotted a new-to-me brand of popcorn called G. H. Cretors, and saw a shelf label marked ‘Organic Dill Pickle’, which really excited me, but there were no bags left. What a tease.
Coincidentally, later that week, I received an email asking if I wanted to try some of the popcorn, and even host a movie night. I couldn’t believe it – Yes, please!
I invited my friend Kim over to watch a movie with me, and we debated which popcorn flavor to try first: ‘Just the Cheese Corn’ or ‘The Mix’. I started with the cheese corn as I didn’t think I would be a big fan of The Mix, but I was wrong – I loved both! Just the Cheese Corn, as you may have guessed, is a cheddar popcorn. The Mix is a cheddar mixed with caramel corn.
Luckily, the bags were generous enough that we shared with each other, and even tossed a few at my husband once in a while. While munching away, my friend and I read the labels and were impressed: Cheddar, Non-GMO Popcorn, Non-GMO Sunflower Oil. At any rate, give it a try and let me know what you think.
What movies have you seen recently?
Disclosure: I was provided with two bags of popcorn, the movie and a blanket. My opinions are my own.
