A few weeks back, I shared a lil’ bit about our daughter’s birthday, but what I did not share was that in lieu of gifts, she asked friends to bring donations for our local animal shelter.
Our friends were extremely generous and many not only brought gifts for the shelter, some even brought something sweet for her too.
The kids and I went to the shelter and Isabel beamed with pride as she presented goodies for the animals to use immediately, as well as, hand the employee $35 in cash.
The shelter presented our girl with a certificate in return – I will be placing it in her scrapbook for sure.
