I have been a stay at home Mom for a number of years now. Five of those years included blogging, social media jobs, ambassadorships and over the past 3 months, a Scientific contract job that I had not yet told you about.
The time has now come to me to return to the career I had prior to having our fabulous babies; Clinical Data Management. The job is a nine to five that will require a lot of adjustment for our family.
I am nervous, excited, sometimes petrified, and sometimes overjoyed at the prospect. We have yet to share the news with the kids but will do so with only excitement and joy showing on our faces. I know there will be tears shed as well as a new found independence (for the kids and for me!).
There will be changes in this blogging space as well. I suspect I will be sharing quick lunches and more family updates rather than full on recipe posts. I will have to be more efficient with my meal planning and preparation and I hope to share my discoveries with you along the way.
I am so grateful for my husband carrying the bulk of the financial weight around here all while I followed my dream of being home for these years.
So, how many of you have had to make this transition? Please share the good, bad and ugly.

Oh Leslie, if we could be neighbors and team up for all our blogging goals, I would be thrilled but until then, I will get back to my passion for Science and blog when I can.

Thanks Kim!! I do hope to keep up to some blogging but it won’t be as often…..or maybe it simply changes in format and the posts become more streamlined. Keep in touch – XOXO

Congratulations on the new FT job. It’s exciting to see friends who were part of the new wave of “mommy blogging” moving on to new (and sometimes old) interests and careers. As always, it’s a balancing act. You sounds like you have a realistic sense of what it will be like. Onward and Upward!
