Our son turned nine a month ago and, per his request, we had a Minecraft party. I realized quickly that you can’t really buy packaged items for a Minecraft Party so I went hunting for DIY ideas.
I created a Minecraft Pinterest board to keep track of ideas and where you can find how to make some of the items in the following photos.
The table had ‘gems’ scattered around….
The balloons stuck with the black & green color scheme and were tied with black and white twine.
The gift bags were decorated with a creeper face and water bottles wrapped with an ominous label that we printed.
For the cupcakes, I made a chocolate batter and baked then in brown liners to appear ‘dirt like’. I made green tinted icing and pipped it to look like grass. I then made the cupcakes toppers and attached toothpicks to them.
Shown in the lead photo, we made our own Birthday banner and used black and green streamers to add more fun. Happy Birthday Monkey – we love you!
