When I began using the Invisalign aligners, I had no idea how involved and excited that our children would be. Naturally, they wanted to keep looking in my mouth the first few weeks. They would want to touch my teeth, tap the rubber band and watch me put them in and pull them out (I am a member of the Invisalign Mom Advisory Board. I will be receiving complimentary treatment from Invisalign).
The kids also get excited each time I put in a new tray, which in my case, is every two weeks. The kids stare at my teeth and look for differences from one aligner tray to the next. The biggest excitement so far for them is seeing my top front teeth become straighter.
Apparently, my daughter thinks about my Invisalign often as I found this ‘doddle’ next to her bathroom sink:
Another way that the kids take part is when it comes to cleaning the aligners. Before I place them back onto my teeth, they inspect them near a window or some light source to make sure they are clean. If they see any areas that need more brushing, they let me know and I love that!
They also enjoy watching the ClinCheck video that I was sent just after my first appointment. ClinCheck is a short movie animation of your teeth and how they will be moved with Invisalign. It is so fun, and motivational, to see the end result right from the beginning.
Just in case you are wondering, I am on my 8th tray of aligners!

I’ve heard this story before! As an Invisalign provider and family dentist, I see firsthand how excited children become with the product. From a child’s perspective, they’re “so cool!” Nearly invisible, fully removable, and best of all– NOT metal braces. The thought of traditional metal brackets and wires is enough to make a child cringe.
