A Day In the Life: Our Newest Precious Addition…….

I know that I already shared an ‘A Day In the Life’ post today but I can’t wait to share this news: We adopted a kitty!

As I shared a few months ago, we lost our sweet girl ‘Azria’ and the past number of weeks, the children have been aching for a kitty to join our family.

I spoke to the vet and asked for tips as we have a 10 year old girl, named ‘Rachel’ and wanted to try to make this transition as easy as possible.

The Vet said to get a boy and for it to be a kitty that is a few months old as it will still be rather subservient to our older cat.

The kids have been eying this cat as they visit the animal shelter every Saturday and have for the past 7 years since they were very young.

Are you wondering what we named him? Well, you know I love cheese right?  The kids know this as well and so we started thinking of unique names and I joked about naming it after cheese.

The kids asked if there were any orange and white cheeses: I said Cheddar Jack is a popular combination as so, I present the newly anointed ‘Cheddar Jack’.

He has not led an easy life in his 8 months so I hope he can learn to trust us and within the next few weeks, be an active and loving family member.
