Seeing that I have not been able to have much coffee lately, I needed an effective way to wake-up Wednesday so I decided to do it by getting my blood drawn. Just kidding..sort of. Although I have been quiet about it lately, I still have ongoing throat and belly issues so my trusty doctor ordered some blood work to make sure everything was still sassy and in tip-top shape with my innards.
After the early Wednesday morning jab, I went to leave the clinic to find it was raining herds of cats and dogs. I stood there amongst two employees leaving the third shift just staring and wondering if some magical entity was going to whisk us into our cars without being beaten by the rain. I glanced at them, shrugged my shoulders and as I began to leave the dryness of the awning, I heard one of them yell ‘Have Fun!’.
The short jaunt to my car was enough to make me think if I had some soap, I could have gotten my shower over for the day. As I headed home, I heard a sound beeping, gazed at the gas gauge and knew there was no way to get home without getting some gas in the car. Naturally, everyone else was using the more sheltered gas pumps so I had to take an outside spot where I was rained on some more. I had to giggle the rest of the way home.
In the late afternoon, I headed out to a gathering with some lovely women who are members of the Rhode Island Digital Media Women group that I founded last year.

and drooled over the 4 layer delight that Tera from Girl Gone Healthy and a newborn named Avery.
