Technically, this post involves more than a weekend but what the heck, there are no technical police that I am aware of so I will assume I am not in trouble.
Friday afternoon, my hubby and I were in the prepare-to-cookout mood so we headed to Pier 1 Imports for a drink dispenser I have been courting for 2 months and the 20% sealed the deal. Then we headed to T.J. Maxx to buy my newly svelte hubby some well deserved shorts that fit rather than fall off.
Afterwards, I picked the kids up at school and had a play-date with some friends. I came home to find messages from two friends wrote that they were making the roasted green beans this weekend so I was super excited. The kids and I had movie night while my hubby was attending a wake.
Saturday included many lovely hours at the Virtu Art Festival in downtown Westerly, R.I. We purchased two paintings and can’t wait to hang them on the wall.
Sunday brought another gorgeous day which began with me attempting to hit some tag sales bright and early but you already know THAT story. The rest of the day included sprinkler jumping, flower shopping and…..
container planting…..
Monday began bright and early as we prepared for our daughter to be in the parade. I went and found a great spot to hang and witness the parade. Ben was thrilled to eat some Del’s while waiting to see his sister march on by.
After the parade, we relaxed and cooled off a bit out back on the patio, played with the remote car and then decided to go for a ride. This ride led us to the mall to grab some Old Navy flag shirts, tank tops for the gym and a super cute girls bathing suit for $12!
Finally, just about when we decided to relax for the evening, some friends gave us a good dozen or so ornamental grasses they dug from their yard and so, that means: project time!
