You know I adore sweet genuine people the way I adore cheese. I also like to spend as much time with them as possible, as I do cheese.
I don’t like people to smell like cheese though but that has nothing to do with this post or CVS. What is do have to do with is my friend Karen.
My friend Karen of Koupon Karen fame and I have been spending lots of time together over the past year. We enjoy each other’s company, the kids like to play together, we talk blogging and learning how to save money using coupons and other ways to stretch the budget.
A few weeks we began brainstorming ways to work together so we decided to pair up and show you how to save money and turn those savings into a meal. ‘No Way, this is Awesomesauce!’ you say? I Know!
We have decided that each week we will do our usual shopping at CVS, always maximizing our savings by taking advantage of the weekly sales and extracare rewards at CVS. We will then use those savings to show you how to turn that money into at least one great meal. We are the calling the series ‘Purse to Plate’. Maybe I will share something other than a complete recipe once in a while but I promise you this: it will be savvy, tasty and oh so good.
We will begin sharing this fun series next week. We are finalizing our strategies right now (seriously, as I type). We plan to shop together each week (assuming life doesn’t get in the way) and then put together our posts…..Now that I think about it, we may end up posting what happened that got in the way of sharing these savings.
As a bonus, maybe you can also find a way to use some of these savings to put towards that leather purse you have been trying to figure out how to buy without your hubby knowing.
Head over to Koupon Karen to meet Karen, see what she has to say about ‘Purse to Plate’ and start learning how to save money honey!
p.s. Karen thinks I am calling her stinky cheese.
