Saturday, April 2nd was an all girl girlie day. After an abbreviated night’s sleep, I woke up ready to go to NYC for a fashion & beauty event called Getting Gorgeous. Although I felt I should not be allowed to even enter considering I packed up my day’s essentials in a backpack.
No, this was not a cute backpack but my husband’s from years ago. I took off with a bowed head and met my friend Karen at the local commuter lot. After I jumped into her car and we drove a number of miles, she let me know that her husband inquired as to why we met at the commuter lot considering they lived a mile from the lot. That brought on many giggles.
At any rate, Getting Gorgeous is the brain child of my bloggy peeps, Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney. There were many amazing brands in attendance as well as many products to try. The best part of the entire day was that I was able to see and hug many blogging friends and that put a smile on my face. Plus, Jennifer Hudson was there as well – look for her in the video!
Brands at the Getting Gorgeous event were:
Degree (love their new deodorant)
Goody (can’t wait to show you the new twist hair pins)
Dream Water (melatonin and more for a good night’s sleep)
