I am in love with this past Saturday and Sunday! Even though the household chores needed be done (a few actually were done), we had so much fun. Saturday included bowling for the kids and daddy while I had my teeth cleaned, followed by the weekly visit to the transfer station and shelter. Then I was getting ready to do grocery shopping when friends stopped by. I love when friends stop by and see our surprised faces – it makes us all warm and fuzzy.
The surprise visit resulted in an impromptu sledding session on our front lawn. We then went to the opening of a friends boutique and then a late afternoon birthday party. Sunday brought time at the gym followed by grocery shopping while the kiddos played in the snow (second evening storm) with daddy. The afternoon included fort building with the huge box from my husband’s new office chair, a lunch included leftovers of cabbage soup for my son, mushroom soup for my daughter and then time for Mom to work a bit. I needed to photograph black bean soup and a couscous wrap while the rest of the family went to the bakery and snow covered playground. Once they came home it was time to finally commit to taking the Christmas decor down (oh, so sad to wait 11 more months before we see it again).
Since the non-perishable groceries had to wait while we played this afternoon, I stared at the pile tonight and decided to share some of the items that are for the lunch boxes this week. I decided to share this list as all of us hard-working moms and dads are always stumped for ideas so here goes.

Go Squeez is the best thing since sliced bread. My 1st grader loves it. I love the easy package, but my 3rd grader things it is “too babyish”. Thanks for the list, this is great!

LOVE the list, my sweet! And what a fun, fun, delightsome weekend. If I was remotely near you, I’d pop by all the time and let the kids sled for hours while we sip Starbucks and canoodle about recipes.
