Now that I am working at home, I have found this summer to be quite a challenge with the little ones at home as I just work on and off when I could but with school starting up, I need to get organized. I am going to have to set hours on each day that I am working and find ways to be able to keep all the paperwork, ideas, projects in order.
Therefore, when I was asked to try out some Smead supplies, I said yes. So, I was sent the Stadium file and a set of Super Tab folders. Although the site suggests using the set to make a Kitchen Command center or a Homework center, I decided to use it in the Kitchen as a Work & School Year Center. The center has folders titled Family Kitchen, Sabra, Freelance, Speaking Opportunities as well as PTO, School payments, etc. I set this up in my kitchen as that is Command Central at out house.
Stadium File
Pros:
Great idea
Love the stadium stacking as it makes the folders/topics even easier to find and stay organized.
Comes with some pre-printed labels including A-Z, Jan-Dec, 1-31 and household subjects such as, Mortgage, Insurance etc. as well as blank ones.
Cons:
The material being unprotected by plastic or some water resistant material makes it more likely to get easily ruined or damaged in an area such as the kitchen.
Although the lack of a lid makes it easy to quickly grab papers or a folder, the lack of a lid lends itself to all the papers falling out if the folder is knocked or tips over.
The material for each section is made of paper and seems like it could rip easily, especially if kids get into it.
Super Tab Folders
Pros:
I enjoy the color options as you can chose a set of pastels or primaries.
I like the large labeling area that is significantly larger than standard folders. That comes in handy for those of us who write large or simply want to be able to read the labels easier or even for kids to be able to read easier.
The colors on the pastel folders that I have do not bleed or run off.
Cons:
I do not have any to share for this product.
Disclosure: I am being compensated with a $20 Target gift card for my time.
